HD Minor Midget A Dragons West Mall Tournament CHAMPS!

Heartland’s Minor Midget A Dragons participated in the west mall early bird tournament for the 4th year in a row. We won our third championship out of 4 years. Apart from defeating York Mill 3-2 in the final, the highlight was our 1-0 win over MHL rivals PC in the semis. Along with being a very well coached team Port credit is also the 2017-2018 MHL league champs. Thank you to our players, their families, coaching staff and west mall for a terrific tournament.

Congratulations to HDHA 084 (Minor Bantam White) who won the Gold medal on Sunday and completed a dream season by going undefeated in their division with an impressive record of 12 wins, 0 losses and 4 ties for the regular season and 5-0 for the playoffs. For the semi-finals, they ran into the 2nd place team and scratched out a 1-0 win with a late goal and then had tremendous 2nd and 3rd periods against Erindale to win the final 5-0. Dragons Midget SR ‘A’ crowned CHAMPS of Toronto Aeros Tournament!

Heartland Dragons - Midget SR ‘A’ The Heartland Dragons Senior A team defeated a very strong hockey school team from Montreal twice to win the Toronto Aeros Tournament this weekend.  The Dragons went undefeated in 4 games outscoring their opponents by a total of 18-7. This was the Dragons 3rd tournament victory this year and it will help prepare the team for the upcoming GTA “A” Championship.

Heartland Dragons Minor Bantam Red Team 82; London Jan. 19th to Jan. 21st 2018. West London Byron Optimist Competitive Tournament CHAMPS! After finishing the round robin with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss, the Dragons won their semifinal game against the Erindale Spitfires on their way to a spirited 4-2 final game victory over Chedoke Express to capture the GOLD Medal.
