Heartland Dragons The Heartland Dragons Hockey Association is again excited to be hosting, The Bauer First Shift Program in partnership with the Toronto Maple Leafs, to introduce hockey to those that are new to the sport.  The NHL/NHLPA First Shift kicks off with a Welcome Event which is our opportunity to welcome you into our hockey community. HEARTLAND DRAGONS HOCKEY ASSOCIATION RECEIVES JUMPSTART SPORT RELIEF FUND GRANT Great News Dragon Family! In February, Canadian Tire Corporation announced an additional $12 million commitment to Jumpstart’s Sport Relief Fund to help sport and recreation organizations build back sport and play in Canada. Jumpstart conducted a State of Sport study via Ipsos which revealed the pandemic has not only impacted current access to sport and play but has real long-term effects as well. Return to Play Plan 2.0

The GTHL has released their Return to Play Plan 2.0. This plan includes safety protocols and their vaccination policy. We will provide further updates from the MHL once they have an opportunity to review the GTHL's  Return to Play guidelines document.  Over the next weeks we will be providing updates on various policies, procedures and reference material you should be aware of as we get closer to the start of the 2021-2022 season.  Please follow this link to familiarize yourself with the GTHL Game Plan 2.0 outlining Return to Play framework including Vaccination Policy released on Wednesday, August 25th.

Hello Dragon Coaches! Hydro One along with the Coaches Association of Ontario is offering grants to coaches of up to $2,000 to assist with getting back to sport. This grant aims to support Ontario coaches and participants with the tools they need to get back on the playing field, while keeping safety top of mind. Welcome Back! Attention Dragons We are looking forward to the start of the 2021-2022 hockey season and are excited to soon be seeing all of your smiling faces at the rink.
