As another sports season wraps up, we’d like to take a minute to marvel at the wonder that is the volunteer youth hockey coach. By the time parents finish the train-wreck that is dressing and fully equipping their kids for every practice and game each week, they are pretty excited to send their player(s) out on the ice.  But the coaches? What a hockey season!  The pandemic has forced several changes to behaviour and routine, some for the better. Families spent more time together and people slowed down. U14 Blue Win MHL Division Championship!

After a rough start to the 2021-2022 season the boys of 093 came together and were able to lift the trophy as champions!  Entering the playoffs the boys were on a roll and embraced the game plan of unselfish hockey. This was evident as every single player recorded a point during the playoffs and 4 players recorded their 1st  ever hat trick. U18 Red Win MHL Division Championship!

This past weekend wrapped up an incredible year of hockey and for most an end to their minor hockey career. The Dragons Team 114 (U18) had a tough year due to Covid (as did everyone), but overcame all obstacles and finished 1st in the regular season, 1st in the round robin and won an exciting semi final in a shootout and the final with 4.1 seconds left.
