Mississauga, June 29th, 2021   Important - Registration Update Information for 2021-2022 Season Hockey Canada has developed and have been implementing a new "Hockey Canada Registration" (HCR) System for the upcoming season. The GTHL had originally planned a launch for all house league registration on June 7.  A decision was recently made to extend that launch date to mid July to ensure we were able to assist registrars with training and trouble shooting. Dragon Nation! Hockey Canada was expecting registration to go live with the new Hockey Canada Registration (HCR) System on Monday June 21. However, we received further updates from the Mississauga Hockey League last Friday that there are still some technical issues that need to be resolved with the HCR registration system. Rather than proceeding, and possibly causing you to experience difficulties and frustration with the registration process, we are deferring our registration date at this time. Mississauga is currently in the "Grey- Lockdown" level of Ontario's COVID-19 response framework and as such the Heartland Dragons Board of Directors have made the decision to close the office for the holidays.  The Heartland Dragons office will remain closed until January 21st 2021, in conjunction with the Ontario Governments latest announcement and will remain closed pending any updates issued by the Ontario Government. The Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) announced on October 3rd that all sanctioned activities within its jurisdiction (which includes the Mississauga Hockey League and its 6 Area Association partners) are postponed until at least January 1, 2021 pending further advice from health authorities. The decision comes as a result of a rapid rise in the infection rate in the Greater Toronto Area and in consultation with health authorities. Oct 13, 2020 | MHL News As you are likely aware, on October 3 the GTHL decided to suspend all on and off ice activities for hockey leagues under their jurisdiction, including the Mississauga Hockey League and our six Member Associations. October 3, 2020 – The Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) announced today that all sanctioned activities within its jurisdiction are postponed until at least January 1, 2021 pending further advice from health authorities. City of Mississauga Change Rooms Update

  Hello Dragon Nation, We just received a notice from the City of Mississauga regarding an update to their safety protocols that will come into effect in October. Dressing Rooms will be available for changing.  Physical distancing will be in effect so capacities will be limited and players are encouraged to arrive at the arena dressed if they are able to. https://hockey.on.ca/hockey-equipment-and-car-seats/ Showers will be shut off and not available for use within the change rooms.
