+30 years of coaching experience with various clubs, age groups, and levels
+20 years of refereeing, and timekeeping

Passionate, reliable, detailed oriented, organized, great communicator

My job as a coach is very simple! I’m here to ensure that the players on this team can become all that they can in the game of hockey. My overall responsibility includes leading by example for the players, parents and coaches to respect all aspects of hockey including:

*equal opportunities for all players
*rules of the game
*teamwork
*fair play and sportsmanship
*respect – win or lose
*social interaction
*best effort
*….and how to have fun!

I believe in teaching the players to be team oriented and as such I would like to guide them and make them aware of the need to function as a team both on and off the ice. I am here for the kids, and everything I do will be to that end. Together, we will form a hockey team with hockey as the main focus; however, I also believe what the kids learn will help them to become confident and mature.

Coaching Philosophy:  The foundation of success is based on skill development first and foremost.

Practices are critical to success as this is where most development will occur.
Hockey IQ and an understanding of all facets of the game is the priority, once that foundation is set the rest of their hockey success will be based on their desire and execution.
Team play, respect and work ethic is the foundation of the program.
Equal playing time is the mandate and development is the focus.
I look for families and children that make hockey the priority during the season with the desire to have as many kids as possible move up from Red to A, AA and AAA.
Commitment is CRITICAL – attendance at games and practices a must

With over 30 years of coaching experience at the A, AA, and AAA levels, I have developed a strong support staff consisting of former players I have coached for many years, along with a dedicated goalie instructor.
I firmly believe that the foundation of a strong work ethic lies in effective, well-organized practices. Over the years, we have successfully built confidence and bravery through proper training. Our practices, held twice a week for 1.5 hours each, focus on skating, skills/team development, and endurance.
The season begins with a two-week training camp to prepare for the upcoming season and our first tournament. We plan to organize three tournaments and a series of exhibition games throughout the season.
My goal is to instill confidence in youth, which they can apply to sports, school, and life decisions.
I believe in staying current and constantly upgrading my skills and practices. This is why I surround myself with a mix of younger and more experienced staff.
We are committed to working hard together to build confidence and create a team that never gives up.
Team budget to be determined
