Congratulations!
Our Atom “A” (Maroon) was involved in the Toronto Wolverines Fall Classic Tournament. The team won their first game 6-0 over the Toronto Eagles and their second game against the West Hill Golden Hawks 6-1. The following day the team won their 3rd game against the Toronto Wolverines 6-2. The round robin was completed on Sunday morning with a great effort against the Humber Valley Sharks where they unfortunately lost 3-2. This led to the Championship game against a heavily favoured Nickel City Stars team that went 4-0 in the round robin. The game went back and forth with Nickel City going up 1-0 in the 2nd period and we rallied back to tie the game at the midway of the 3rd. This would lead to a 5 minute overtime period which saw the 2 teams go back and forth once again. Still tied after overtime, the game then was decided by a shoot out. 3 players for each team went head to head against the goalies where Zavier Ladak would shut the door and after a goal by Matthew Ferriera and Joseph Lee in the shoot out, this would give the Phantom Wolves the victory. The coaches were so proud of the team and want to thank them for a great Tournament.
